Concealed Carry Ban @ Merry Maids May Be Unconstitutional

"A federal court ruling tossing out Illinois' ban on concealed weapons might end the last such gun prohibition in the country, but not without a fight." "The question is whether the battle will be an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, which has been silent on the issue of concealed weapons, or a legislative confrontation over the court's order that Illinois adopt a law allowing concealed carry with "reasonable limitations" as in other states."

Will Merry Maids be able to continue banning concealed carry guns at their establishment? We may have to wait on a supreme court ruling for that answer.
Why does Merry Maids explicitly ban concealed firearms? Is it standard practice for maids or their clients and family to arm themselves?

"Illinois’ ban on carrying loaded weapons will be lifted within six months if a federal court ruling handed down Tuesday stands." We must suppose that there has been trouble at this particular Merry Maids (located at Ashland just south of Howard) in the past.

Its always interesting to picture the worse case scenario or nightmare for this sign maker.

Someone (like a detective or salesman) smoking a cigarette with a concealed firearm looking for business or to sell something (like drugs).

So please no drug dealers smoking cigarettes, with loaded weapons looking to push product at Merry Maids, no an unreasonable request I think.

oops NOT an unreasonable request

Finally some good news. Until now only criminals were "allowed" to carry their guns.
Now there's a chance for good law-abiding people to do the same.

On this subject I'm neither republican or democrat. Its just interesting to see how it plays out.

Guns in the hands of the wrong people is always bad. There are arguments for and against guns and conceal and carry but really there needs to something based on actual research, evidence and facts. Because backing one position or another just based on feelings or anecdotes is not logical.
