Howard Inundated With Flyers Promoting Show @ Congress Theatre

On 1/16/13 Cardboard flyers were posted from Ridge to Paulina on Howard on street poles. Fifty to sixty cardboard flyers stapled to each other were removed this am from the street poles from the Chicago and Evanston side. It took about 10-15 minutes and filled up at least four trash cans. The flyers state that tickets are available at all Villa locations. There is a Villa Shoe store at Howard in between Clark and Paulina. Coincidence? Probably not. No phone call will be made to the store as this would be useless. Pictures will be posted later. The show is at the Congress Theatre, not anywhere close to being in Rogers Park. So why the heavy promotion? Why the obnoxious blight? This type of advertising is illegal, an eyesore and should not be tolerated.

Update - Here are the pics, there are still more posters on Howard beyond the EL and east until Ashland.
Needless to say, this can suffice as Chevanston's review of Villa as well. As of now it seems to be the worst shoe store on Howard.

The apparent epicenter of the posters.
Villa. Join the Movement?

This rap isn't very good, but it should be torn down whatever it is because its super obnoxious and ugly and offensive.

And ignorant, toxic rap does suck.

Whatever happened to cute stuff like Mc Hammer and Vanilla Ice? Does everybody have to be a "tough guy" nowadays?

Hip hop has changed quite a bit, there are still decent acts but there has definitely been a proliferation of more negative tough guy stuff in the past ten, twenty years.

NWA and Public Enemy is classic rap nowadays compared to how thoughtless and tasteless this stuff has gotten.

@DUI, those guys were trying to be tough! Those were just hilarious times. They didnt know how silly they looked.
