Kosher Sushi Bar opened up this past October at California & Howard without much fanfare. It was listed as a media mention in West Ridge's Everyblock section without comment. Hamachi's website has more reviews and info. Yelp has eight reviews with 4.5/5 average so far. Nice to see this mixed use building built during the housing bubble finally get some tenants in the commercial space. Shallot's in Skokie also has kosher sushi. CERTIFIED OPEN Hamachi Sushi Bar (2801 W. Howard), a certified kosher Japanese restaurant is now open for business in West Rogers Park. Hamachi actually opened last month and has been working on interior decor since. The modern, sleek space offers vegan-friendly options as well. The restaurant, with signature rolls on the menu like satsumaimo, blue man group and green goddess as well as a tempura ice cream for dessert, is open weekdays for lunch and dinner and open late on the weekends.
