People of Rogers Park have been complaining that Ward Eight is hard to see. Well we at Chevanston are here to serve. Ward Eight has low key ritzy curb appeal. Parking meters still rule the day on the Evanston side of the street. This new bar is located on Howard just east of Dodge. It is strategically placed right next to the Evanston Police outpost. The hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday 5 pm - midnight and Sunday 5 pm - 11 pm. Whereas the age admittance at this new Howard street bar has been relaxed to allow vicenarians to visit, its geared toward an older, more well behaved, less rowdy crowd. Ward Eight advertises beer, food, and bottles to go (wine). This bar specializes in old fashioned cocktails from the 20's, 30's and 40's. 4 craft beers on tap as well. On their old fashioned dot com home page there are plans to hold wine and cocktail classes.16 reviews on Yelp so far with a five star rating. Throw back mixed drinks from the old days are trendy now. Howard street has a trendy cocktail bar, pinch me.
