Hate Speech On Sherwin

Sherman viaduct vandalized.

Just because its cold outside doesn't mean the graffiti stops. These photos were taken on the last day of 2012. The graffiti is still there as of today.

Sherwin viaduct has been hit, Chase viaduct has been hit, so has Pratt viaduct right after its new paint job. Sherman and Chase L viaducts are in the sorriest shape overall in Rogers Park.

If there is no penalty for vandalism why would the vandals ever stop? Mayor Emanuel should institute a Graffiti Tracker program.

Sherwin concrete viaduct is unique as it rests on top of the Sherwin and Greenview intersection. Years of patchwork graffiti cover up have taken their toll, however. An easy target for vandals. Good thing the alderman's office reopens today.

Editors note - Its Sherwin, not Sherman. Couldn't find Sherman on the Chicago street map, just as I couldn't find Damn and Rogers

Newly painted Pratt viaduct already tagged.

I did relay this to the alderman's office earlier today about 11 am.
