The Loyola Phoenix paper dated January 16th (which this writer picked up from Sol Cafe) reminds us that the coffee shop plans on serving beer and wine in spring. Sol Cafe is also planning on story time for kids, hosting live music and spoken word performances. This coffee shop is equipped for the 21st century with wi-fi and plenty of electrical outlets. Sol Cafe is situated in between two major Universities (Northwestern and Loyola), so when students need a break from campus life this is a perfect place to escape to. There are also plans to serve soup and sandwiches. Cafe Sol serves the finest drip coffee starting at $1.35 a cup with Lakeview's Bowtruss beans.

Haven't made it there yet. What do they serve now besides coffee, etc? The usual pastries/light sandwiches?
Not much in way of things to eat right now. Chocolate chip cookies, and various pastries.
Drinks - Machiado, Cappucino, Espresso, Chai, Cocoa, Mocha, Cafe Au Lait, Americano, Red Eye (coffee plus espresso)
Some seasonal drinks and iced coffee too.
I cheated and looked the picture I took of their chalk board.
