The Sun Has Set On Everyblock.

This picture was posted by Everyblock member Applejack this past August 2012. The Farwell Pier and its revitalization was directly tied to conversations held on Everyblock Rogers Park. Thank you Everyblock for making this possible.

Wouldn't a sunset photo be more appropriate?

True JL, but thats what we have.

Plus no way we can get a sun to set by Lake Michigan. So this is as close as we can get to it, I remember this being the Moon of Aquarius and it looks like its at sunset or just about sunset.

Thats life on the Third Coast, Bummer.

As Red Hot Chili Peppers would say the sun rises in the east and atleast its settled in a fat location.

Everyblock was a great way to meet some of my bestest neighbors, so this important epoch in Rogers Park will have much influence on the neighborhood for years to come.

I would like to commend and thank you for handling this "story" in a much more mature way than some other sites are. I've only been to your site a few times, but I like it. I'll be back more often. Keep it up!

Thanks Kellie M.

The sudden ending was quite surprising and Im glad I did start the blog because so much that was discussed is now just POOF. Atleast we still have the Broken Heart and this site to refer back to. Because right now there is now way to access old Everyblock content.

Thats what I realized as well writing this blog, this is "my" stuff but its everyone else's too and as long as I have anything to say about it this site will always be up to refer to.

Look at Broken Heart, love ir or hate it for recent Rogers Park history it is the blog of record from 2004 til 2011, there was a sabbatical and now its back.

Yeah, I just can't be down with all the spelling and grammar mistakes (yes, I'm a stickler), which isn't even to mention the commenters on Broken Heart. Don't get me wrong, I give the guy credit for maintaining a neighborhood blog for a pretty long time, but it seems the few followers the site has are just a bit too angry for me. Your site has a much more positive feel to it, you seem like a nice guy, and you have this undying passion for Rogers Park that others only claim to have. Plus, come on, you quoted RHCP, that wins you points in my book. :)
