Not hilarious. Useful. Everyone has to make a buck and this is a great way to serve the community. Wonder if Craig is out delivering today?

Unknown said...

No its defanately funny. he's a rotten smelly jerk who is mean to people and the thought of him slipping around in slush while delivering junk food is actually purdy funny to me. anyone else i'd say "good job buddy"

Be that as it may Stan this is still a great delivery service that people need to know about and regardless of other factors we know that Craig is a great bicycle and dirt bike rider.

I miss his chronicles of the neighborhood and of delivering. This writer had previous experience of delivering pizzas which was fun and never dull.

He'd better watch out delivering up here on Juneway Terrace. We'll eat him alive!

Their delivery service was very prompt during Ramadan. Our curry came all the way from down on Devon and always arrived fast and very hot. The boy was courteous and reliable and worked very hard.

I am always on the lookout for a new and reliable delivery service. They don't survive very long in my neighborhood. Thank you for the tip. I will give them a call and see if they make late deliveries. I'm a night person.

Btw the graphics and layout on the above advertisement are slick.

Helene, a warning. The delivery boy has a particular dislike for Helens. He is likely to use scatalogical language if he learns your given name.

Ok folks, we should all just get along, :(.

Blogging is supposed to be fun. :(.

I dont like that language either Stan or Craig and being selective about what is and isnt posted is just as bad as what Everyblock did. This is why this blog was formed so that censorship wouldn't rule the day.

This may never be a big superblog, but Rogers Park needs a couple decent neighborhood blogs.

Please retract your statement Stan so we can go on to more interesting things to talk about.

well seein as I aint got a car or a stick i retract that statement. just a couple two many beerss last night. sorry. i still think craigs a bully who posts pictures of women he don't like and thats bullying.

Welcome back Pizza Boy. We was missing you. How's the dogs? Glad you're over that grumpy little pouting thing. Mr. Rogers runs a nice blog here so play nice if you come back. None of that nasty stuff anymore around here. Mr. Rogers is doing his blog the right way so play nice or you will get spanked by CK.

Patrol Officer B. said...

Mr. Rogers we will try to keep the bad boys under control in here. You are running a good blog and don't deserve tantrums by grumpy little boys. If they give you trouble you know who to call.

Peace love and thoughtfulness from here on out. We're neighbors and we should treat each other with respect no matter how unbearably unpleasant, anti-social, and bi-polar some of our local delivery drivers are.

We can still lead by example by practicing kindness.

Philip McGregor Rogers said...

Craig was wrong to pick on Helen and should apologize that is true.

Oh dear, Stanley, I didn't mean to set you off like that by reminding you that there are some ungentlemanly men around. Please take a nap and calm down.

I'm better now. Thanks Helen. Funny how one day off the meds and mention of bike delivery pizza guys can really set me off on a bad bender of swearin' and drinkin' cheap beers. Pretty kitty by the way. Darn it.

Joey's "Follow me Friday" will be at Morse Gyros tomorrow, I have seen Joey in person lots of times but never Craig. Will they argue or clash at this event?
I really enjoy any and all Joe Moore events that feature free booze and food.

I also run a delivery service that caters exclusively to Loyola college students, female only.
I will deliver one hot, fresh, steaming hot Polish sausage to them personally in their dorm room, it will arrive anywhere between 45 seconds to ten minutes depending on various conditions.

Becca is that you?

Craig, please invite me to the Morse Hell-Hole.

Did she delete a comment already? Dang and shoot. That was faster than I got booted off EB. I was a little more potty mouthed n' scarier back then so I can understand.

Bekka's probably got her hands full with the drive-thru window AND the fryer since half the kitchen called off when a shipment of primo weed arrived at the store.
It happens.

Do tell, Jeff, what did "Becca" have to say before the comment was deleted?

Stanley, I don't remember you on EveryBlock, and it's difficult to believe you could have been more potty-mouthed than you have been here, though I've noticed you've mostly cleaned up your act since I joined here. Keep up the good work. BTW, I was the one who got booted off EveryBlock along with dearly-departed AppleJack. I do miss him.

Craig Gernhardt said "Hey, Helen, (censored) (wonderful woman of NOH). I thought you didn't read or comment on the neighborhood blogs.

You said that on EB almost everyday. (censored) (That hurt my feelings making me cuss and swear something awful!)

See you at Morse Gyros tomorrow and I'll say it to your face."

Philip McGregor Rogers said...

We are trying to run a somewhat respectful blog here so please no name calling or cussing or swearing.

Disagreements are fine everyone.

I think we should all kiss and make up. Craig was just pissed that you dissed his blog Helen. But hey I'm just a blog admin. I don't put people in the brig, but I dont want things to get too heated.

I didnt delete it Helen, someone either changed their persona or got rid of their comment.

I got rid of the "fighting words" because we arent here to just fight or be hurtful to each other.

What was that song about true colors? Hmm. What a funny random song to pop into my head so suddenly. Lets all be nice. I like it here. It's just like my drum circles on the beach when everyone plays nice.

Anonymous said...

I knew you didn't delete the comment I was referring to, Jeff, because it said it had been removed by the author.

Isadora, everyone here does NOT play nice. Haven't you noticed? BTW, what happened to "totes." I finally looked it up and you stopped using it.

Philip McGregor Rogers said...

It was max mad who used Becca's face blanked out, oh yeah, not sure Helen, forgot what was said but I don't think it was anything earth shattering. The author probably thought it was too uninspired or boring to leave up.

Unknown said...

That's like totes observant of you, Helen!

Philip McGregor Rogers said...

From urban dictionary.

Totes 1463 up, 418 down
A shorter more convenient form of the word: totally. This word is most commonly used by teenage girls.

The most obvious advantage of using this word is the time saved. Data collected at a prestigious university found that every syllable spoken takes approximately 0.14 seconds.

The same prestigious university also found that the average valley girl says the word totally around 190 times a day.

If you do the math, the average time saved by using the word totes as opposed to totally would save 26.6 seconds a day! Over the course of a year that adds up to 2.7 hours!!
Girl #1: I totes want to go to the shoe store because I totes need to purchase new heels.

Girl #2: Totes! I totes need a new pair too so I'll totes go with you.

Girl #3: OH EM GEE! you guys saved 0.7 seconds by saying totes instead of totally!!

Anonymous said...

Yes, Jeff, some of us are actually capable of doing that ourselves.

Unknown said...

i'm like totes amused by Isadora. she's kinda hot but she seems like some kinda rich valley girl going through a god darn hippie phase or somethin'. How the hell'd she end up in rogers park?

Anonymous said...

I was wondering the same thing, Stanley, but, then, we do seem to have all types in Rogers Park. "She" is kind of a refreshing change from most of us, though.
