"I can't open my gate!, its stuck!" Step one - panic. Step two - put your bare hand on the cold frozen door knob for two to three minutes, that usually thaws the door knob, remember metal is an excellent conductor and your body warmth will thaw the ice inside OR if you had foresight breakout the wd-40 and spray it into the lock.

A little rubbing alcohol in a squirter bottle works nice and leaves less residue then WD-40.
