Monster Energy In West Ridge @ 7/11

Monster Energy was in West Ridge yesterday for a promotional appearance.  Requirements for a free drink? You had to be at least 15 years old & be physically present.

Monster Energy was in the area because they were racing in Joliet. Their race car is propelled by a six hundred horse power engine with a top speed of 190 mph. The car's wheels are treadless. Race cars don't race in the snow or rain. It has been banged up a bit but is no worse for the wear after repairs. The wheels are tilted in to the left because it only makes left hand turns.

Also present at 7-11 the trailer and truck needed to haul the race car and tent. When these photos were being taken (2:30 pm) the crew had just begun dismantling the display. People were still stopping by for free samples, asking questions and taking pictures.

Promotions are generally held where people's products are sold which is why they (Monster Energy) were at 7-11. After drinking half (one serving size) of this 16 ounce energy drink this writer was on edge and hyper. The drink is labeled Monster Energy Zero Ultra. Contents as follows .... caffeine  140 mg per can, zero calories, 1 gram of erythritol a type of carbohydrate, 100 percent of the daily requirement of Niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin B5. Monster Energy blend is Taurine, Panax Ginseng Extract, L-Carnitine, Caffeine, Glucuronolactone inositol, guabana extract. (The can states that it contains two servings and that each serving size is eight ounces. The following is verbatim from the can ... Consume responsibly : Not recommended for children, people sensitive to caffeine, pregnant women or women who are nursing. Some people are impossible to please. As soon as they get what they thought they wanted they always want more. Our team riders and Monster Girls are not different.... they've been dropping hints lately. They've been asking us for a new Monster drink. A little less sweet, lighter tasting, zero calories, but with a full load of our Monster energy blend. Sure white is the new black. We went all out : Monster Energy Zero Ultra. Unleash the Ultra Beast!)

Also on site? A '36 Chevy with a friendly warning..... "Its Steel (Please) Don't Feel". Painted on the body in front is "Class of 36" and in back "Stardust". The back window has a sticker with the label "Yesterdays Chevrolet". The Chevy also features a fake bullet hole and has suicide doors.

Are you OK? Someone at Nextdoor told me you are living in the basement at Sol Cafe. If you need a place to stay let me know. You are always welcome here. I hope you're alright.
