Trader Joe's South Evanston Under Construction




          The steel shell is complete, the concrete mixers are all ready to go and the commercial building next door is touting its space as Trader Joe's adjacent. Residents in Rogers Park and Evanston are both excited at the opening of this grocery store giant which has finally decided to build a store in the region. This new store is located on Chicago Ave just north of Whole Foods @ 1211 Chicago Avenue. Edgeville Buzz  ran  an April fools joke story concerning a new mini Trader Joes coming to Berwyn and Broadway at the old Blockbuster. Guess there is a use for old Blockbuster stores. Evanston's old Blockbuster was demolished in preparation of the building of the new outlet, uncovering an old Sakrete advertisement from the previous hardware store.

They should turn that dang Aldi on Broadway into a Trader Joes. Its the same dang company and that neighborhood would eat it up.
