DANGER - Stay Away From Rocks - Strong Undercurrent And Riptide - Chicago Park District

Frozen lake water coats the rocks and signpost.

Walking to the rocks now its obvious the lake is reclaiming the shore.  The ice shelf at its zenith allowed people to walk their dogs on what now would be suicide.

The sign has reverted back to its original use; a dire warning to protect passerby from certain death.

During winter the yellow deterrent served as a reminder that Lake Michigan's icy waters lurked beneath the ice and snow.
