The faded lost cat notice is still taped firmly to the light pole. Has this cat been found or is he permanently lost? The investigation is no longer active and either the poor feline has met its maker or found a new home faraway. This notice should be taken down or taken up by the cold case unit at animal police headquarters downtown.
It is strange either way when such a notice isn't taken down almost a year later, for one because of the private personal phone number listed. When flyers like this biodegrade on streetlight poles it diminishes their overall importance. People stop noticing them or even paying attention. "Oh, just another lost animal....., ho hum"; which actually goes for humans as well. This writer just took down a notice for the Missing ID (a human) on Morse Avenue, which was reported on the Broken Heart this past Feb 4th.

It was weird seeing that flyer for ID today. People are always pounding the pavement putting up notices and then they just leave them up for forever. There should be a website that keeps track whether the cat, dog, or human is found or not.
