Rogers Park in 1,000 Words published a super tight shot of the public way impact notice on Farwell Avenue. Here is a non-cropped shot of where the notice was posted. There is going to be a heck of a lot of noise from 8 pm til 8 am in this neck of the woods this coming weekend. The following excerpt is from Joe Moore's tweet regarding the warning of "extremely loud" work about to go on at Pratt and Farwell.
Dear Neighbor,
As part of the construction of a new substation along the CTA embankment on Glenwood east of the tracks between Pratt and Farwell, the CTA this weekend will be installing steel casings (pipe) under the CTA tracks. The casing will be installed on Glenwood east of the tracks between Farwell and Pratt.
The work will take place beginning this Saturday, May 4th, at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until Monday, May 6th, at 4:00 a.m. The installation work will be performed around the clock from Saturday morning until early Monday morning. The CTA has told me the work may be extremely loud, so please plan accordingly if you live near the construction site.
Close up of Impact Notice if you keep reading.
