Buddha @ Clyde Street Courtesy Of 8th Ward Quick Topic

This photo was posted to the 8th ward public quick topic forum of Evanston May 1st by neighbor Jeannie. Chevanston took a screen shot, boosted it and HDR'ed it. Too bad this type of quick topic forum hasn't taken off in Rogers Park. Ann Rainey the 8th Ward alderman hosts this forum and people on the board are required to use their real name. There is one set up by Bernard Garbo for Beat 2424 in Rogers Park across the street from the 8th ward. Apparently our Rogers Park neighbors for the most part prefer to hold conversations off the visible net.

Boy I ain't been in the neighborhood too long since I moved from northeaster Indiana but I'm not too sure about these Boodha heads all around. Hell I ain't predjudiced or nothing but they just don't seem right in a good Christian community. Maybe that's just me.

I saw them nice crosses and illustrations on the sidewalk today by the beach and was rightly impressed with the dedication to our Lord going on around there though so maybe all is not lost to paganism.

Ok Mr Scholar.

How can you comment on a religion such as Buddhism when you cannot even spell the word for Christ sake pun intended.
We live in a secular democracy with freedom of religion. Your free to be a self-righteous christian impressed by sidewalk crosses. Great how that works eh?
Now show some respect for others who have that right too.
Gentrification attracts fun people does it not Jef-fo?

Well now I ain't trying to put a bee in your bonnets I was just making a simple observation. My spell check was turned off and I mistook the Budha word. I just like when I see things I know.

We should all arrange to have a picnic. We did them a lot in Indiana. Maybe we can set up a tent down by the lakefront and have a good corn roast with some hamburgers, hot dogs, and potato salad while we all get to know one another. If we're feeling a bit frisky maybe we can do a bean bag toss.

I can provide the beverages: lemon and orange drink, along with some coffee. My wife makes some wonderful sheet cake.

Maybe we all could aim for the weekend of the 1st? Bring a covered dish!
