Whoever bought this irregular strip of land (Howard street east of Rogers) asphalted over the grass, put up a new chain link fence and for sale sign. Minimal investment with potential for a big payday.
Zoned B3-3 - "Shopping centers, large stores, and retail storefronts, often along major streets. Allows more types of businesses than B1 and B2 districts. Apartments permitted above the ground floor."
A new Sonic drive thru on Wilson (in between Sheridan and Broadway) just opened in Uptown. A drive-thru this close to the lake and the "L" is definitely not the highest use for this lot. But it could be a good temporary placeholder.
