Work on Rogers Parks' brick roads has not yet begun in earnest. Christy Webber repaired Wayne Avenue after natural gas infrastructure was upgraded.
Referring to the Ward 49 participatory budgeting update..... "Cobblestone Restoration on Glenwood, Farwell to Lunt - PENDING. Final cost far exceeded original estimate by CDOT." This project got the greenlight from voters in 2013.
Brick paved Glenwood from Greenleaf to Lunt is slowly emerging through its potholes. The visible brick road is in good shape. Just as hardwood floors wait patiently under carpet, linoleum or tile for restoration so too is brick paved Glenwood under all that asphalt.
Glenwood's brick road from Estes to Farwell should be restored.
