"Give Us A New Tree"

Not everyone is pleased with People's Gas or the city of Chicago. Sometime in the past week someone stapled their concerns to a dead tree in the 1500 block of W. Fargo. We all know that the record breaking low temps of last winter coupled with the ongoing onslaught of the emerald ash borer has decimated city trees.

"The city of Chicago who we all pay our bills to will not replace a dead tree at 1542 w Fargo ave. We are all responsible tax payers. If anyone fail (sic) to pay a ticket or other bills it doubles. Why can't citizen (sic) and property owners be respected! GIVE US A NEW TREE!"

People (s) Gas replaced the entire block of 1500 w Fargo ave with new gas meters. People Gas (s) destroy (ed) everyone's property and then replaced everything they destroy (ed) and gave new sod and water. The new sod for it to take into the ground for new grass. Except for 1542 w Fargo ave and townhouse adjacent to the property. After four months of calling People (s) Gas all we have is weeds. Why?

The grass/sod that was laid down has been hit hard with dog piss. Contrary to popular belief dog urine is toxic to grass. Walking down Fargo Ave 1500 and 1600 blocks there are plenty examples of these dead zones. A new sidewalk was just poured at Fargo and Ashland which looks okay.

It would be nice if 1542 w Fargo and the adjacent townhomes got some new sod too. Unfortunately it would be soon be pockmarked with yellow stains.
